    • From The Herald, Monday, May 8, 1989: "Evelyn T. Leinenbach, 74, R. 3, Ferdinand, died at 3 a.m. Sunday, May 7, 1989, in St. Joseph's Hospital in Huntingburg. She had been a patient two weeks. Mrs. Leinenbach was born at Louisville Dec. 13, 1914, to Joseph and Susan (Beckman) Linette. She married Robert A. Leinenbach Jan. 19, 1937, in St. Martin's Catholic Church, Siberia; and he died April 3, 1983. Surviving are a son, Robert, Jr. of Jasper; two daughters, Mrs. George (Janis) Morgan of Evansville and Mrs. Donald (Sandra) Begle of Ferdinand; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Irvin and Aloysius Linette; a sister Mary Louise Linette; and one grandson. Mrs. Leinenbach was past state regent of the Daughters of Isabella and was instrumental in starting the PTA in the Ferdinand schools and in building the grotto at the Convent Immaculate Conception. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. . ."
